Today we're taking a look at the K-source replacement side mirror for the driver side of your vehicle. This product fits a 2008 to 2009 Ford Taurus. The side view mirror is a direct replacement for the driver's side factory mirror on your vehicle. This is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. It's going to feature power-remote capability that way you can adjust the mirror-face position with the factory power controls from within the vehicle. When it comes to the glass, we are looking at OE-grade flat glass with first-surface plating to reflect clear images. The unit also features a break-away design so if the mirror is struck from the front or from the rear it'll fold when it's stuck to help deter breakage.
When it comes to the housing, it's going to be a durable plastic housing with a nice black finish. It can be painted to match your vehicle. It's an easy no-drill installation. You're going to get the three mounting studs right here and then each stud has a nut that's included with it. It's going to use the same footprint and mounting point as your factory mirror.
The mirror's going to plug into the existing electrical wiring. The original equipment or OE number is 8G1Z17683-D. Please keep in mind that the power remote capability of the mirror will work only if your vehicle already has that function.
